This is a Victorian to early Edwardian piece (circa 1890s–1900s) with a convertible design, though the pendant mechanism is broken. An antique carved shell cameo depicting a classical woman in profile, mounted in a warm 10K yellow gold oval frame. The convertible construction allows the piece to be worn as a brooch or pendant. The pendant part seems to be missing and it might need reparing if intended to use as pendant. It measures approximately 1 3/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide and about 1/4 inch deep, with a total weight of approximately 8.3 grams. Preowned antique condition with expected age-related wear.
